This stuff did not work
I have been trying to figure out a good acne on the spot treatment. I figure it's best to use myself as the human guinea pig since I am the only one that can really know if it will work on my oily skin. So I tried this stuff, and found that it didn't work. At all.
Coconut Oil
In the last year age has quickly crept up on me. I'm noticing the fine lines have become deeper and my body is just having a harder time maintaining weights and what not. I've kind of turned myself into a human guinea pig as far as beauty products are concerned. Here are a few items that I have found to work. I do have combination/ oily skin so these products may not have a desirable effect on a different skin type.
I'm not really into being too trendy when it comes to health and beauty, but I recently fell victim to coconut oil. I bought this at Target for about $7-8 I think in the cooking section. I know that Trader Joe's has it for about the same price.
I used it first on my hair. I applied quite liberally on practically ever hair, put a shower cap on, and left it on over night. The next morning I washed and conditioned as usual and found that my hair was super soft.
Next, I tried it on my eyes. I was in the business of finding a good eye cream or something to reduce wrinkles. I started dabbing a little on my eyes in the morning as a moisturizer. Wow. The effects were amazing. My husband actually asked me what I was doing differently. So I quarantined a bit of my hair oil off into a little plastic container and use that only for my eyes.
Because I have oily skin I have not attempted to use this all over my face as a moisturizer. I'm not that daring.
I started looking online for ideas and found some pretty cool recipes for home health. What started out to be homemade shaving cream turned into my version of Massage Mousse. It is awesome and here is the recipe
